There are dead people in Bogota who want to help you with your problems. They’re in the cemetery. All you have to do is show up and ask them for help. All they want in return are flowers or candy. Maybe clean the statue on their grave. Maybe pour out a beer.

I learned about these helpful dead people while planning my vacation to Bogota, Colombia. When I visit a place, I like to go look at their cemeteries. (That’s normal, right? Of course it is.) So I was doing some research on the cemeteries of Bogota, watching YouTube videos, reading articles. When I learned that people visit the graves and ask the dead for favors, I was very excited. This was something I had to see. Was there a tour that would take us to the cemetery? I searched in a frenzy. My wife finally found one for us. Phew.

In the Central Cemetery in Bogota, there are three helper graves to choose from. (Mind you, these are only the ones I know of. There may be more.)
